[Historic Milestone] Karnataka State Legislature Unanimously Adopts Resolution Supporting DPCW

In a powerful display of unity, both the Legislative Assembly and Legislative Council of Karnataka State unanimously adopted a resolution supporting the Declaration of Peace and Cessation of War (DPCW). This marks a significant leap toward the institutionalization of peace through international law.

The resolution, introduced by Hon’ble H.K. Patil, Minister of Law, Parliamentary Affairs, and Tourism, received final assent from the Chief Minister. This is not merely a symbolic gesture but a concrete commitment to:
Full Support for DPCW Principles: Endorsing all articles of the declaration.
Implementing Peace Education: Direct cooperation with HWPL for community-based programs.
Pilot Initiatives: Launching "Peace Cities" and "Peace Villages" across the state.

Dedication of Staff: Minister Patil noted the tireless efforts of HWPL staff members who traveled from Korea to India repeatedly to advocate for the DPCW.
