Ebenezer Baptist Church is internationally recognized as a cornerstone of the American civil rights movement.
It is the church where Martin Luther King Jr. served as co-pastor and developed his philosophy of nonviolence. Hosting the Religious Peace Academy at this historic site symbolically connected the legacy of civil rights with modern interfaith peacebuilding efforts.
